Healing Trauma with Empathy: A Journey Through Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy
Trauma-focused therapy helps people who have experienced hard things, like PTSD, anxiety, or depression. This type of therapy is based on kindness and understanding, knowing that healing takes time and connects the mind and body.
We start by helping you become aware of your body’s feelings through special techniques. Trauma can get “stuck” in the body, so this helps you feel more connected to yourself.
In our sessions, we’ll use different ways to help you tell your story, like Narrative Therapy. This can help you feel stronger and more in control of your life.
We might also use Exposure Therapy, where you safely face painful memories little by little, so they don’t feel as overwhelming anymore. Awareness Integration Therapy (AIT) may be used to revisit previous memories with feelings attached to explore and release.
You’ll learn how to handle tough feelings, change negative thoughts, and build resilience. I’ll also explain how trauma affects your brain and body, so you’ll understand what’s happening as you heal.
This therapy isn’t just about dealing with the past—it’s about helping you feel stronger, grow, and move forward with a better sense of who you are. The goal is to help you heal and reclaim your life.
